The HERBI VŌHR team believes passionately that veganism is the only lifestyle that makes any sense - for our own health, for the environment, and for the animals. 
We also know, however, that transitioning to this kinder, healthier but perhaps unfamiliar lifestyle can be challenging, so we've created these products to make the change so much easier and yummier.

Biltong

Our biltong comes in three flavours - regular, spicy and chilli. We offer 100 g packets of sliced biltong, whole biltong sticks in all three flavours, as well as spicy mini sticks called Biltong Bites.

Bacon

Our smokey 'bacon' is the ideal substitute for traditional breakfast bacon.

On the Bacon page we tell you how to make a classic bacon and egg scramble that is 100% vegan, and provide you with cooking instructions and many other recipe ideas.
NOTE: This vegan bacon is precooked, and only needs a very light fry in hot shallow oil on both sides for the flavour to be released... no more than 15 to 20 seconds per side.

Braai Steak

These steaks were developed to enable vegans to join traditional family/social get-togethers without feeling like the odd one out. It also provides a good opening for a discussion about cruelty-free living.
NOTE: For best results, marinade beforehand in your chosen broth/marinade to prevent dryness.

Pulled Chicken

The pulled chicken is ideal for stir-fry with veg and pasta or noodles. It also makes an excellent addition to salads, or can simply be used on a burger or in a sandwich.

NOTE: This product comes with a neutral sauce, but if you want the 'chicken' to soften further, simmer in a sauce of your choice.

The pulled pork is ideal for stir-fry with veg and pasta or noodles. It also makes an excellent addition to salads, or can simply be used on a burger or in a sandwich.

NOTE: This product comes with a barbecue sauce which can be rinsed off if you prefer to use a different sauce. If you would like the 'pork' to soften further, simmer in your preferred sauce.

Beef Chunks

These chunks are intended for use in stews, casseroles, pies etc, and need to be added halfway through the cooking process. The chunks can be cooked to soften to taste, but over-cooking may soften them too much.

NOTE: This product comes with a neutral sauce to keep the chunks moist, but it will not add its own flavour to your dish

Chicken Chunks

Spare Ribs

The spare ribs simply need to be heated through for about 8 minutes in an oven that has been preheated to 180 C, Alternatively steam or simmer in the barbecue sauce that has been supplied, turning frequently to avoid burning.

Boerewors

The 'boerewors' is a South African classic. It can be served in the traditional way, with pap and tomato relish.

Chilliwors

Chicken Chipolata

The chipolatas are based on the Italian version and come in three variations - regular, spicy and chilli. They are ideal for use on 'hot dog' or other rolls.

NOTE: These sausages do well fried or chopped and crisped in shallow oil, and don't need moistening.

Turkey Deli

These steaks come two in a pack with a barbecue or prego sauce. They only need to be heated, but they could also be sliced, diced, used on a burger or added to other dishes ​

The barbecue sauce is mildly

Chorizo Sausage

Chorizo is a traditional favorite in Spain, Portugal and Mexico.

Chorizo is great in stews and livens up any dish. Pair chorizo with bell peppers, tomatoes, and surprisingly, pears, which balance out the smokiness of the Chorizo with a fresh, sweet flavor or enjoy as is warmed and also delicious cold.
